Web Design and Development Process
Although all websites are different they all have the same planning, design, development, testing and delivery process.
To make each website delivery as smooth and as successful as possible we follow the steps below for all websites:
- Initial meeting /discussion to establish your exact needs and requirements. At this stage we make suggestions as to the best way to approach your project.
- Project costing - based on your requirements we then establish a costing for the design and development of your website.
- Visual design - on agreeing the project, we create the visual design of your website. This allows us to design the way it looks before putting it into development. Any changes to the way it looks will be made at this stage. It is usually at this stage that you would prepare the content for each of the pages on your website.
- Website development - on agreeing the design of the website from the visuals we then start working on the development of the site. The timescale for this part of the project varies depending on the size of your project. eg large e-commerce websites take longer than small information websites.
- Testing and Delivery - on completion of the website we usually go through a period of testing. This ranges from a day to around a week, again depending on the size of the website.
- Maintenance - After completing your website, the development of your site is not necessarily over. To ensure the number of visitors to your site increases over time it is usual to continue developing your site and adding content.
