The Design and Development of a new website for National Electrical Wholesale
At Vista Design, we are at the forefront of providing sophisticated web solutions that align with our client's unique business needs. One of our most ambitious projects involved working closely with National Electrical Wholesale, a renowned wholesale supplier in the electrical components industry. Our challenge was to create an e-commerce platform from scratch, with the client previously only selling through their brick and mortars shop.
Challenge:
With National Electrical Wholesale never having had a website before, one of our main challenges was consulting on design. Furthermore, the client needed an interactive and robust platform capable of handling thousands of product listings, a complex inventory management system, multiple payment gateways, and a secure customer database, allowing them to branch out into email marketing in the near future. Additionally, given the highly specialized nature of electrical components, the website needed to provide detailed technical specifications, intuitive search capabilities, and seamless navigation to assist users in making informed decisions.
Key Features Implemented:
- Custom Inventory Management: To manage their extensive product range and maintain real-time inventory tracking, we integrated a custom inventory management system that syncs seamlessly with the website and provides invaluable analytics.
- Multi-layered Product Search: We developed an advanced search algorithm that allows customers to find products based on various attributes such as type, brand, voltage, and price, making the product discovery process efficient and user-friendly. Furthermore, many of National Electric's prospective customers are industry-experienced and would have unique search terms for certain products, creating a unique dimension that we needed to implement into the search.
- Secure Payment Integrations: Recognizing the need for a secure and diversified payment experience, we incorporated multiple payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, and wire transfer options, all underpinned by high-grade encryption protocols.
- Customer Accounts & CRM Integration: We implemented a feature-rich customer account system, allowing buyers to track their order history, save favourite items, and manage shipping addresses. Moreover, this system is integrated with a CRM to help ABC Electric Wholesalers nurture relationships and foster customer loyalty.
- SEO & Analytics: Post-launch, we continued to provide value by implementing an SEO strategy focused on industry-relevant keywords and backlink generation. Additionally, analytics tools were put in place to monitor customer behaviour, site traffic, and other crucial metrics.
