The Challenge
RAF Cosford Air Show faced a number of obstacles with their previous website, which had become increasingly unreliable and prone to breaking at crucial moments. Their former agency struggled to provide the stability and support the event required, leaving the team without confidence that their digital platform could cope with the demands of a major national air show. The outdated site lacked visual impact, modern functionality and the flexibility needed to showcase the scale and prestige of the event.
A further challenge came from the show’s high-intensity traffic spikes whenever tickets were released. With thousands of visitors accessing the site simultaneously, the existing hosting setup was unable to cope, resulting in slow load times and system failures. RAF Cosford Air Show needed not only a fully rebuilt, visually engaging website but also a robust, high-performance server environment capable of handling peak demand without compromise.
